Quito’s TelefériQo Cruz Loma

This post is a long time coming. It’s been almost a year ago since I visited Quito, the capital of Ecuador and its cable cars (TelefériQo from teleférico and Quito) with my dad.

The cable cars are something else, they’re one of the highest aerial lifts in the world, going from an elevation of 10,226 feet above sea level to 12,943 feet elevation. When we visited the high hills of the cable car were full of fog and we watched as the green landscape below was enveloped in white mist. The top of the lift features a restaurant, gift shop, a dog park (dogs are allowed on the cars) and a network of trails.

There were beautiful murals painted on buildings at both the bottom and top of the cable car route, including this one near the dog park.
